Memorial Day Edit with LOFT

Hey babes! Memorial Day weekend is almost here and I’ve finally figured out what I’m wearing to the cookouts. For those still looking for inspiration, I’ve partnered with LOFT to bring you two fun looks to kick off summer in! Both looks feature pieces from LOFT’s Plus Size collection and perfect for all your weekend activities.

The first look is for my girls who love some color and fun prints! This outfit is definitely out of my comfort zone, but I couldn’t resist the bright pink tie waist shorts! This is my first time wearing  LOFT pieces and the shorts fit like a dream. Even though there’s no stretch, you don’t need any because they really took the time to focus on the fit. The fabric is lightweight and sits perfectly on my hips. If your waist is smaller than your hip, the shorts have a tie waist to adjust the fit. I’m wearing a size 20 and they’re not too tight or loose. I wanted to stay on theme with bright colors so I chose a fun yellow top to highlight the subtle yellow details in the shorts. The pleat detail in the top ties the whole look together–add accessories and you’re good to go!

The second look is a little more neutral and for my laidback babes. I’m wearing LOFT’s Tie Waist Safari Shorts and the fit is just like the first part however the fabric feels more like khaki and the waistband is elastic. I paired the shorts with their Striped Bar Back Strappy cami. The soft stripes keep the look fun without being too bold. I polished the look off with a cropped denim jacket that hits me perfectly at the waist. The jacket has a light stretch and plenty of room across the shoulders and arms.

Which look would you rock this weekend?
