Montana Glamping with Catherine’s

Happy Friday! Today I’m talking all about my recent weekend Glamping getaway to Montana with Catherine’s. I privilege of getting to know some of the nicest, most down to Earth women in the business: Shay, Meaghan Kellie, Lydia and Kait.

When I first heard we were glamping in Montana, my first thought was “What could we possibly do in Montana??” It’s…Montana. You guys. This place is a HIDDEN GEM. An actual diamond in the rough. I’ve never been to a place outside of Michigan that’s been so beautiful. The country side was absolutely breathtaking–one of the best drives I’ve ever been on. It was a lovely change of scenery since I’m used to seeing dirt and cacti.

As we’re driving along we pass a resort and we’re like “Yes! We’re here!!” Nope. We keep driving. Our paved 2-lane road turns into a dirt road. That turns into a one lane road. At this point we are so deep into the woods that if we screamed no one would know. Eventually we get to a sign that says ‘NO VEHICLES BEYOND THIS POINT.’ Now I’m thinking well, this is it. I’m dying in Montana on a Saturday afternoon. Then out of the woods like little fairies comes Kelli, Kait, Lydia and Danielle. Whew!

The place we stayed was called Collective Retreats and it’s was the definition of “glamping.” Yes we were in actual tents. Yes our bathrooms were Tee-Pees. Yes we had a wood stove in our bedrooms to keep us warm. However, the “glam” factor did NOT disappoint. See for yourself:

This beautiful Fall scenery wouldn’t be complete without the perfect Catherine’s Fall fashion.

Day 1: The first day we got settled in and immediately changed out of our boring travel clothes into our Montana get up! Since I’m a denim girl who’s ready for Fall I changed into jeans, their Chelsea Market Top, and Roxbury Riding Boots because boots are Fall Fashion staple. Aside from our fun photoshoot, we spent the rest of the day at the campsite soaking up the mountain side and having some serious bonding time.

Day 2: It’s out first full day and there were no shortage of activities! First on the agenda: horseback riding! This was hands down my favorite activity. My horse Diesel was an absolute gem. Today I wore the Deconstructed Girlfriend jeans, the Botanical Garden top and  the riding boots again(which were perfect for the first activity!). This was the perfect riding look because the jeans were stretchy and the top was light and moved with my body. The whole time riding I didn’t have to adjust my top or pull up my jeans once.

Isn’t Diesel so cute?!?!

The second half of the day we channeled our inner Katniss and did some archery. After our instructor Ethan taught us he basics we had a fun target competition and our Supreme Archer was Meaghan!

Since it was our last night in paradise, in true glamping fashion we put on dresses and made S’mores by the fire. I’m wearing the Upper West Side dress and I’m obsessed. The color is so rich and the fit was perfection. Also these botts were a MUST for the entire trip and it just shows how versatile they can be.

I can honestly say this was one of the best weekends of my life. Catherine’s couldn’t have picked a better group of women for me to share it with. The memories made will go down in history. Getting scared by our shadows thinking, seeing a shooting start, the Sandhill Crane attack of 2016(poor Meaghan haha), my knight in shining armor Mark who saved me from the bees.  I could go on and on. A huge thank you to Kellie, Kait, Lydia and the entire Catherine’s team for an amazing weekend and even more amazing clothes!
