Day|Night: Barbie Girl

Happy Friday!! Today’s post is all about taking your look from day time chillin’ to night time shenanigans while still staying casual, comfortable and chic. Since I am in these clothes all day I wanted to keep the look minimal with very few moving parts to allow a smooth transition into the night time. I stuck to 3 basic colors: black, white, and gray A.K.A. My 3 best friends 😉

Day time: I kept everything easy breezy. Very simple with the shirt tucked in to draw attention to my waist and a purse that I could live out of for a month. I don’t know what it is, but I LOVE big bags. You can never go wrong…or run out of space. The entire look is very low key. Perfect for a day of shopping, running errands, or a quick lunch date with the girls. I kept the accessories minimal as well. Because you can’t do Barbie without pink, you know I had to have magenta lippies!

It’s only proper Barbie fashion.

Night Time: I didn’t make any drastic changes, but enough to amp the look up a bit. I added a different shoe, swapped out Mary Poppins’ bag for a sleek white clutch, and turned this Tee into a crop. Literally only 3 things! If you’re like me you’ll always have an emergency stash of the essentials: shoes, bags, blazers. The shoes and the clutch happened to come in handy this time. I did make my necklace a little tighter so it changes the vibe of the look a bit. This is perfect for happy hour, a casual date, or just because you want to show off that tummy 🙂
